Makara

When a friend referred me to the seed team at Makara I wasn't looking for a job. After the initial meeting with the founder and the team I was hooked. They were a brilliant, passionate group with a clear vision and I knew I had to be a part of it. We were a scrappy marketing team of two that were able to generate a 37,000 person waitlist within 12 weeks. I was hands on in all aspects of the product launch from designing creative, writing copy, optimizing website design to managing ad campaigns and monitoring analytics. Makara's launch was so successful that we were acquired by Betterment a verified Unicorn fintech company with $32B in AUM under its belt.

I was brought on as VP of Marketing and Channel partners for my expertise with HNW customers. With acute awareness of customer behaviors, I created a marketing plan that earned Dragon Slayer its first round of investor funding. I coordinated events to begin curating an exclusive early waitlist and developed key accounts. Shortly after launch I was able to secure a large partnership that supported an estimated 100x revenue growth.

When a company has truly mission driven leaders there is a spark that ignites a passion that permeates from within the product; inspiring the team and ultimately delighting the customer. Makara's purpose was to apply basic investing principals to crypto thereby making it accessible to the masses. Our early growth strategies fueled a waitlist of tens of thousands of eager waitlist customers in a matter of weeks. Within months of our official launch we were acquired by Betterment, a verified Unicorn of egalitarian fintech. A short but incredibly rewarding ride!

Dragon Slayer

Providing innovative solutions for the discerning traveler via an elegantly designed mobile app and the power AI technology. As a consultant for DS I created the GTM which was presented to investor groups, earning the initial funding of the company. Once funded I came on board full time, contributing to business development and brand building through curated events and networking. I helped procure an incredible partnership opportunity which would have supported 100x revenue growth.

Tomorrow Link

Tomorrow Link is a non profit, non-transplant anatomical donation foundation; for medical research and education. After coming on as a consultant I took on a more permanent role in which I developed profitable partnerships, was responsible for B2B & B2C acquisition, team building, operations and program building (TomorrowLink2Learn). I was able to take TL from $0 to profitable within 6 months. 

Liberty Dynamic

A veteran owned company solving the problem of unreliable diversion devices for military and domestic defense applications. For Liberty I created pitch decks, marketing collateral, marketing content, assisted with public relations outreach and helped develop strong branding practices. In addition I wrote grant applications to earn Liberty $1.5 million in Air Force Grant support. 

Real Estate Consulting

After over a decade in the real estate industry, from my experience with the Association of Realtors and John L. Scott, to real estate sales; leading high profile new construction projects I have a broad and uniquely insightful purview of the market. For several brokers operating in the lux and ultra-lux ($10m+) market I offered consulting services often for a specific listing or as needed for builders with developments requiring the proper exposure.

Residences at Fairview - Northwest Group Real Estate

With nothing more than a set of floor plans and an undeveloped lot on Seattle's Lake Union, I was able to produce record setting sales. The first new construction sales above one million dollars in the preceding five years. The importance of those sales reverberated through the development community and fueled regional growth in the coming years.

As Broker Associate of the Luxury Collection for Northwest Group Real Estate, I had the opportunity to work on some of the finest properties in the Seattle/Eastside area. My dedication to providing a pristine client experience, earned me the company "Client Care Award" in 2014.

Signature Capital Group

I founded Signature Capital Group Real Estate in Denver where I grew the business and hired agents, coaching them to specialize in their field. I now operate SCG in Washington, working with a select group of qualified investors and managing my own real estate investments.

John L. Scott - Corporate - Exceptional Homes Program

John L. Scott has always been a leader when it comes to implementing new technologies to support Realtors and clients. We were an early pioneer of creating mobile apps first for consumers and later for agents. In addition to contributing to early product development I was responsible for the company wide roll out and subsequent adoption of the apps and platform tools. During my time with JLS I was instrumental in reinventing their luxury agent program - creating successful marketing campaigns for ultra high end listings and with a keen understanding of the nuance of the market I helped provide agents with the tools they needed to be successful.

Association of Realtors

It's 2011 and the housing market has seen it's lowest point but has struggled to recover. Housing prices are dropping, sales have stalled and real estate agents are losing their livelihood. My Board of Directors came to me with a seedling of an idea. I took that idea and developed it into one of the most successful events that Washington real estate has ever seen. Thousands of Realtors (from competing businesses) came together on one weekend to hold open houses around the region as a show of solidarity and support for one another and the community which they serve. Blue Realtor balloons could be seen on every neighborhood street corner, as the swell of positive energy was palpable. Partnering with local newspaper; The Everett Herald we ran a public relations campaign that included major media buys on regional radio and television stations. The event garnered such success that it was replicated on a state level by Washington Realtors, Nationally by the National Association and a few short years later it was replicated globally.
